With a degree in graphic design, Dana Siljander
has been creating art in one form or another
for the past 20 years. Her desire was first
instilled in her when admiring the many painted
peices her great grandfather and grandmother created.
She followed in their tradition and started creating
hand painted decorative art. Years later she brought
her knowledge of layout and design to the computer
to become a successful graphic artist. Her latest
endeavor has been to bring her innovative and
whimisical designs to her new media of silver
and gold. Every piece she creates is an original
work of art and reflects her dreams and fantasies.
All of the jewelry is created from the finest
materials availavble. All pieces are made from
either 99.9% pure silver, sterling silver, 22 kt gold,
14 kt gold or 18 kt gold. Semi-precious stones are
incorporated into many of the designs. Dichroic and
fused glass pieces are also created and set into pure
silver and embellished with semi-precious stones or
displayed from sterling silver omega necklaces. All
art work is original to Siljander Design and all pieces
are made by hand in the United States. All hand designed,
hand stamped silver pieces are of limited quantities and
all dichroic pieces are one of a kind considering the
nature of creating fused glass pieces. No two pieces
are ever identical. All art work is created from
inspirations and the many places Dana Siljander

pieces created have been painted in the Dalmalning
and Rosemaling art styles. Each piece is painted by hand
using original designs inspired by Dana's heritage.
All wood is top quality pine, painted with artisan quality
acrylics and has been varnished to an extra fine finish.
The painted creations are heirloom pieces to be handed
down to countless generations. Dana follows in the
tradition of folk painting which was started by her
paternal great grandfather who came from Soderhamn, Sweden.
